Virginia Beach, VA (February 2, 2022) – Chartway is pleased to congratulate two team members on their recent promotions. Long-time team member, Theresa Delp, has been named vice president of corporate planning. Additionally, Henry Thompson, has been promoted to vice president of information technology.

Theresa Delp

Theresa Delp has been named vice president of corporate planning.

Delp joined Chartway in 1994 as part of the administrative team and since that time, has held positions of increasing responsibility. Most recently, she coordinated activities and actions for Chartway’s board of directors, led the administrative team, and provided corporate planning guidance. In her new role, Delp will partner with the board and senior leadership team to provide strategic advice, help implement Chartway’s strategic plan, and continue to oversee the administrative team. Delp is a graduate of Virginia Wesleyan University where she earned a bachelor’s degree in business.

Henry Thompson

Henry Thompson has been promoted to vice president of information technology.

Thompson joined Chartway in 2018 with more than 20 years of experience in information technology. Recently, he served as the director of information technology, where he led both the daily operations and ongoing systems development of Chartway’s technology systems and helped transform technology’s infrastructure. In his new role, Thompson will oversee Chartway’s information technology and application technology functions, designing and executing the credit union’s technical roadmap, including system architecture, system development life cycle, and business partner relations. Thompson earned a bachelor’s degree in physics in Longwood University, holds a CISSP (certified information system security professional) certification, and completed a cyber security certification program from Old Dominion University.
